COVID-19 Health Alert

A word to our Patients, Clients and Staff:

As the COVID-19 crisis is rapidly evolving, we at Washington Fertility Center are closely monitoring the developments and following the recommendations and advice of expert organizations such as the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), our local Health Department and local Health Systems and Hospitals.

At Washington Fertility Center, our entire staff remains committed to providing continuous care to our patients. Our Annandale office remains open. We continue to provide fertility services 7 days a week without any anticipated interruption. We also continue to see patients in our Fredericksburg office location.

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) recommends that patients diagnosed with this disease avoid to become pregnant.

Should they be diagnosed with this disease in the midst of their treatment, they must discuss the situation with their physician. They should consider the option of freezing their eggs or embryos and postponing any embryo transfer until they become disease free.

Meanwhile, we ask our patients and staff NOT to enter any of our facilities if they have a fever or symptoms of lower respiratory illness such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath. Please contact our office to let us know. You should also call your primary care provider or your closest hospital Emergency Department to inform them of your symptoms. They will advise you how to proceed and if testing is necessary.

Currently, our staff has taken steps to reduce the risk of transmission of this highly contagious virus. Our staff is promoting hand hygiene and disinfection protocols such as providing our patients with multiple hand sanitizers, alcohol disinfecting wipes, sinks for hand washing with hot water, screening for fever and respiratory symptoms suspicious for COVID-19.

Our patients are also offered the option of conference calls for their convenience and safety.

The safety of our patients and staff is always our foremost concern. Please feel free to call or email Dr. Banerjee or me with any questions or concerns.

We appreciate your trust in all of us.
